Southville Writers was formed in December 2012 by two local writers, Jo Reed and Amy Morse. Our aim is to celebrate and promote our craft in all its forms. From informal evenings, group readings/book signings and plain old moral support to workshops and more structured writing help, we aim to offer something for every writer, whether a beginner or a seasoned professional! Our inaugural event, the Southville Flash, was a great success and is set to become a regular quarterly event! Check here to keep up to date with what we are doing in and around Bristol, or join us on Facebook for regular updates

Amy is a qualified trainer and enterprise coach and is also based in Southville. She writes historical fiction inspired by her love of travel and archaeology. In addition to her writing, Amy is also a talented creative artist and has exhibited her work at several venues around Bristol. In 2012 Amy set up the New and Emerging Writers of Bristol which meets monthly in North Street, Bristol. For more information, visit NEWB on Facebook
